About TVET Australia

Vision

TVET Australia works with stakeholders to provide industry leadership for, and to improve the quality of, the National Training System.

Mission

• Advising and servicing the National Industry Skills Committee to provide high-level industry advice to the Ministerial Council for Vocational and Technical Education (MCVTE)
• Advising and servicing the National Quality Council to provide high level advice to the MCVTE. This includes:
• • Reporting to the Ministerial Council on the operation of the National Skills Framework, including Training Packages, Australian Quality Training Framework standards and other quality assurance arrangements
  • Advising Ministers on the endorsement of Training Packages
  • Recommending approaches to improve national consistency within the operation of the National Skills Framework
  • Fulfilling accountability requirements through provision of an annual report on its operations to the Ministerial Council.
• Making Training Packages and other quality teaching, learning and assessment resources readily available and easy-to-use
• Providing national audit and registration services for eligible Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
• Maximising opportunities for the continuous improvement of services which support the National Training System
• Conducting itself as a high-performing service organisation.
  

In fulfilling its mission, TVET Australia engages widely with all sections of the National Training System including Commonwealth, State and Territory Training Ministers and Government Agencies, Industry Skills Council (ISCs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and peak bodies (employer and employee).

TVET Australia’s strategic approach to stakeholder engagement ensures that it remains responsive to the System and delivers the high quality services to support its ongoing development.
