Robert Player

Robert Player is the Deputy Director General, Training with the Department of Education and Training in Western Australia.  Robert has over 27 years experience in the vocational education and training sector including the management of technical and further education colleges in the states of New South Wales and Western Australia.

He has played a significant part in the reform of the vocational education and training sector as a member of a number of National and State Taskforces and Committees.  Robert is a former member of the National Training Quality Council and is currently a member of the Western Australian Curriculum Council and chairs the Council’s Senior Secondary Education Committee.

Robert holds a Masters of Education, Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma in Education and Graduate Diploma in Personnel and Industrial Relations.
